Job role / duties
•Maintain and improve the reliability of equipment in the factory to increase performance.
•Develop / improve equipment and the operational team to deliver the highest reliability
•Ensure effective, efficient and timely response to plant breakdowns and ensure proactive response to maintenance and breakdowns on site.
•Carry out improvement / maintenance activities, moving the engineering maintenance strategy from a breakdown philosophy.
•Support and coach the effective development of others to upskill lines
•Step change performance / efficiency of existing plant through continuous improvement techniques.
•Ensure optimum customer service in terms of quality, quantity and punctuality and promoting safe working practices.
•Ensure purchased items conform to with legislative, moral and European directive requirements
•Demonstrate safe behaviour and take responsibility for the management of health & safety of engineering staff and contractors
•Ensure all work conforms to statutory & safety requirements and risk assessments are completed and actioned.
•Gain a high level of detailed understanding of equipment, process and plant.
•Gather and use data to analyse losses on equipment and take steps to reduce it.
•Carry out site maintenance activities and ensure GMP standards are reached.
•Monitor, update and improve the planned maintenance system and ensure work planned and progressed.
•Ensure that plant and equipment perform to manufacture product efficiently to high quality standards.

•Communicate daily Engineering FLM to ensure planned maintenance, engineering and production priorities are considered.
•Communicate as required with Engineering Stores to ensure that spares are available for planned and breakdown maintenance.
Located in Telford this position is commutable from Shrewsbury, Wolverhampton, Cannock, Willenhall, Walsall
