Our client has an opportunity for a proactive and self-motivated Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their busy and productive maintenance department. You will be required to carry out general maintenance activities on automated packlines, plastic injection moulding machines and all associated ancillary equipment, primarily in their Autocell area of production.
This role will support timely solutions to packline and machine breakdowns, planned maintenance activities and maintenance improvement projects. A methodical, thorough and systematic approach to problem solving is therefore essential. Using your excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills, you will find the root cause of any problems / issues in order to ensure that our products are consistently made to the required quality.
With a recognised apprenticeship in engineering (multi-skilled with an electrical bias), you will need to be qualified to NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) as a minimum. An ONC would be a distinct advantage. With experience of pneumatics and hydraulics and the ability to read electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic drawings you will be able to demonstrate an awareness of safety regulations and CE regulations to support safety performance.
You will use your experience of maintaining automated equipment to identify solutions and recommend improvements. This role would suit a positive team player who thrives under pressure and can meet deadlines in a time critical environment without compromising on their high standards.
