Multi Skilled / Electrical Engineer

Our client, a large Building Products Manufacturing organisation has a very exciting opportunity for a Multi-Skilled / Electrical Engineer at their location in Kent. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a large company at the spearhead of the their manufacturing process.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:-

* Maintaining plant to a high standard.
* Repair plant and facilities as required within your degree competence.
* Ensure all repairs are safe and the plant produces to the required performance, quality and cost.
* Repair plant that has been identified by the PPM checks.
* Stay informed of current and upcoming Legislation.
* Ensure all contractor repairs under your supervision are completed safely and to the correct standard
* Ensure all plant repairs are completed to ensure the longevity of the plant.
* Communicate all work completed to the relevant teams and managers.
* Strive for continuous improvements in all aspects to OEE improvement.
* Participate and lead Focus improvement teams using problem solving and Route cause analysis tools to deliver improved OEE.
* le the introduction of new equipment from procurement to production hand over.
* Ensure everything is done to minimise downtime and improve the reliability of the plants and increase OEE.

* Ensure all processing operations are performed in accordance with prescribed quality and SHE policy and procedures.
* To constantly demonstrate excellent SHE awareness and be intolerant of unsafe working practices.
* Stay informed of current and upcoming Legislation.
* Fully co-operate and actively participate in any SHE training required.
* Strive for continuous improvements in all areas relating to SHE
* Planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
* Perform planned preventative maintenance tasks and report any remedial work required.
* Review PPM system and update tasing stores.
* Raise purchase requisition to order parts as required ensuring stores stock is available and that inventories reflect need and cost considerations.
* Communicate to your line manager stores requirements promptly.
* Manage consumable and parts stock and inventories against cost and breakdown /PPM requirements to delivery value for money
* Management of deliveries and goods receipting procedure
* Customer Service
* Act professionally with visitor's customers and their clients.
* Help development of new products by advising on machine capabilities and inputting knowledge into trials.
* Liaise co operate and work constructively with all internal colleagues
* Support all colleges so as to ensure the maximum flexibility on site to achieve OEE targets.
* Development of production and maintenance colleges in respect of fault identification and verification moving towards TPM philosophies
