Days based role
REED are working with a national manufacturing business to assist with the recruitment of a brand new role the company have introduced. The company operate within the Building Products industry, supplying products to a range of different end users and on site they have functions and capabilities to assist with Design, Manufacture and Installation too.
Backed by a larger group of companies, this Engineering business are building upon their brand with the investment of new technology and development of staff.
As this is a brand new role, there will be flexibility with work tasks, however your main responsibility will be to travel to different sites across the UK, supporting the Maintenance Managers on site and also working on Projects.
Your workload may also call for you to work from home, spending time planning and developing new Projects that can be implemented on each site. Your work schedule will be planned and you will know where your hands are needed in advance. This ISN’T a role where you will be moving from site to site on a daily basis supporting the Engineering functions.
When on site, you will assist the Maintenance Manager and help to contribute to their workload as their priorities may shift from task to task. You will also work closely with their Maintenance Team, assisting with their work and also development too.
When things are going smoothly, you will be tasked with completing Projects on site. This could include working on the development of processes and procedures, development of machinery, development of staff (training) or running Continuous Improvement Projects too.
The right type of person for this role will be someone from a manufacturing background who holds recognisable qualifications within Engineering and also has a good appreciation of both Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance.
You will be someone who can be flexible with their approach to work and not put off with travel.
A high level of organisation is needed, to carefully plan your activities to ensure you’re getting the most out of your role and the company is getting the most out of you.
