Multi Line Deal Manager

The opportunity:

The role of the Multi Line Deal Manager is to drive the design and negotiation of all Commercial Insurance multi-line and cross class programs. You will manage an individual portfolio of accounts to ensure delivery of profitable new and renewal business, supporting Commercial Insurance revenue targets in line with respective customer and underwriting strategies.

Key responsibilities:

  • Work with the Account/Business Development Manager and underwriting teams to engage with customers and brokers, develop relationships and identify opportunities and develop/manage pipeline of new and cross sell business
  • Set aggressive attack and defence plans and lead each Deal Team on any opportunity
  • Ensure the Operational Action Plan is communicated to and executed by the Deal Team for all Relationship and Market customers
  • Determine appetite, allocate responsibility & appoint necessary resource to deliver the Customer Solution
  • Confirm Customer Solution expectations to Deal Team with timelines and delivery date
  • Develop and manage a revenue pipeline for all relevant customers
  • Working with Business Development Manager, Global Relationship Leader and Account Manager teams, seek and secure new and renewal business opportunities
  • Working with Customer & Distribution Marketing and underwriting, teams evaluate opportunities and appetite for additional lines and services
  • Identify opportunities to incorporate new lines into existing deal structures & leveraging existing lines
  • Determine underwriting strategy, translate and align with the design most suitable Customer Solution
  • Assess & finalize risk rating & pricing for Whole Account View
  • Design and articulate insurance program & service structure to Deal Team
  • Develop and maintain up to date Whole Account View documentation as prescribed by guidelines
  • Negotiate deal with Customer/ Broker and confirm final terms
  • Agree Claims & Service Level Agreement with Customer and Broker
  • Communicate Claims, Risk Services & Service Level Agreement to Account Management
  • Ensure Contract Certainty and compliance for whole account
  • Working with the Account Manager, ensure that Customers and Brokers receive a quality service including claims

Your skills and experience:

  • Bachelors degree (or equivalent) and Advanced Experience
  • Account Management - Proficiency Level Advanced
  • Addressing Customer Needs - Proficiency Level Advanced
  • Sales Proposals and Presentations - Proficiency Level Advanced
  • Sales Systems - Proficiency Level Intermediate
  • Understanding Customer Needs - Proficiency Level Advanced
  • Knowledge of Underwriting - Proficiency Level Intermediate
  • Self-motivated and goal orientated
  • Self- confident and resilient
  • Creative thinking and problem solving
  • Ability to make positive impact, build rapport with and influence others
