The business is seeking to make further efficiencies to support their growth strategy by investing in their supply chain. The role of MRP Specialist / MRP Analyst based in Huddersfield will be part of change management, reviewing the present system and SOP's to improve outputs.
The new Material Requirements Planning (MRP) Specialist will be responsible for the appropriate, monitoring and governance of critical value chain inputs into the operation to ensure and support the complexity of the manufacturing and process flow.
*Understand manufacturing processes, process flows and systems
*Experience and knowledge of the introduction, development and management of MRP within a business
*Experience of the use of MRP software with the skills to bring together existing and new manufacturing process and MRP to work successfully for the production unit and business
*Knowledge of the introduction and use of shop floor data collection
*Knowledge of the introduction and use of barcoding systems to streamline process flows and stock control
*Managed the introduction of an MRP system
*Drive key data integrity
*Ensure key critical processes are deployed and underpinned by effective lead KPI's
*Identify improvement opportunities within the system and coordinate the stakeholders to deliver business continuity and improvements
*Good project management skills
*Good/Excellent IT skills would be a distinct advantage
*Able to use Excel and develop and utilise spreadsheets for colleagues to use by extracting data from the MRP software
*Understanding of the data structure within MRP software
*Understanding of SQL data
*Ability to write SQL script
*Able to produce/design/modify reports and documentation within the software
*Knowledge and experience of Microsoft Reporting Services
*Be capable in assessing the suitability of software and systems and make appropriate recommendations for improvement or change
*Want to be proactively involved in process improvements and developing the manufacturing unit into an efficient operation that can respond to business demand, change and growth
*Ideally a degree in a related field of activities
*Possess working knowledge of material, logistics and production processes
*Good technical background, demonstrable MRP and data analytical
