Position: Mould Setter

Location: Manchester

Salary: £28,000 to £33,000+ Excellent Benefits

The Company: Due to sustained continued expansion, our client, a very successful Injection Moulding Manufacturer, are looking to recruit a Mould Setter.This is an excellent opportunity to work in a secure a stable position within a forward-thinking company.

The Role: Employed as a Mould Setter, you must have Processing Skills in particular experience of moulding Nylon 66, ABS and Polypropylene. The successful candidates will need to have:

  • Experience of working with multi cavity tools,
  • Experience of using hot runner moulding machines,
  • Able to complete documentation and
  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and procedures.

Some of the duties of a setter will consist of; ensuring processes are monitored daily, optimising processes to achieve cycle times and report reasons for variance of cycle times.

The Person: Candidates suitable for consideration should ideally be able to provide evidence of the following:

  • Apprenticeship served/formal training in plastics processing
  • Experience of Setting machines / Optimising processes / Process trials & validation

You will be self-motivated, have excellent communication skills both written and oral, be computer literate, and able to work as part of a team.

The successful candidate will enjoy a salary of up to £33,000 plus excellent prospects and an employment package that you would expect from a company that values its employees.
