Motor Claims Manager

Can you stand in our clients customer's shoes? Most of us know that being in a motor accident or the theft of your car can be distressing. We recognise the importance of having transport to hand and can help our valued clients in providing expert assistance in such situations.

As a Motor Claims Manager, you will lead and manage their successful Motor Claims Technicians based in their Cardiff Office. You will have responsibility for the technical development of your Motor Team and the ongoing quality of the work produced as well as ensuring service delivery levels are continually met and budget targets are met. You will also be tasked with reviewing all processes, ensuring continuous enhancements, whilst being committed to delivering customer satisfaction and being able to motivate and supervise staff as well as train, develop and appraise them.

Your priority will be to lead your team to achieve a first class customer service for all Clients, customers including policyholders, brokers and other teams within the business. You will be the pivotal point of contact for your clients and team and have the ability to remove hurdles to ensure all of your customers are delighted with the service they receive. Additionally, you will take responsibility for undertaking internal audits to include telephony and file reviews, highlighting trends, training and development needs, as well as highlighting, developing and implementing new claims process improvements in line with client approval. Reports for management information will be second nature to you, so that you can highlight trends hot spots and solutions implemented.

You will also have the opportunity to participate in Client management and customer management.

About you:

Although experience in Motor claims is highly desirable, you will already be experienced at a level of managing claims driven teams within the Insurance or Loss Adjusting arena. You will be a customer service champion and a true leader of people, as well as:

  • Experience in leading a busy claims management team within the given sectors
  • The ability to coach, train and motivate a team
  • Excellent telephone manner
  • Strong communication skills - both written and oral
  • Accurate keyboard skills
  • IT literacy
