Motor Claims Handler

ST Recruitment is working with a leading motor insurer in Northampton that is looking to hire a team of Motor Claims Handers. You will be responsible for a portfolio of Third Party Motor Claims, assessing liability and then taking through to conclusion.

This role offers an excellent route of progression into complex liability investigation.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Responsible for a case-load of third party motor claims through to settlement
  • Follow an end-to-end investigation process, ensuring validity of the claim and settlement value
  • Investigating liability and making decisions based of all evidence provided
  • Liaising with all relevant parties including other insurers, witnesses, hire companies and legal professionals
  • Liaising with other departments including customer care, credit hire and legal teams
  • Following all regulatory guidelines and and controls including TCF
  • Inputting data onto claims management systems

Key Skills/Experience Required:

  • 12+ months motor claims experience, with knowledge of liability assessment
  • Strong commercial knowledge within motor claims
  • Ability to analyse data and make decisions in regards to liability
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • CII or relevant qualification preferred, but not essential
