Job Role: Mortgage Forecast Manager (FTC until April 2019)
Location: Barnwood (Gloucester)
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a confident and positive individual to join our Product Finance Team based in Barnwood. The Product Finance team provides strategic business partnering support across our bank, adding insight and value. This role is in the Mortgage Finance team and is a critical part of helping to manage the overall balance sheet position.
This role will manage the Forecast Team, who play a key role in ensuring that our 5-year outlook is accurate and understood. You will be responsible for delivery of the Mortgage Core and Whistletree financial plans and management of the monthly R&O process / current outlook. This will require a solid understanding of our actual performance, along with the external competitor and economic situation. The team are also responsible for providing the PRA and EBA Stress test submissions.
As this role is part of a small team, we are also looking for someone who is a flexible team player and can adapt their team’s own priorities to support others in the team. Strong stakeholder management / business partnering skills would be an asset, as well as the ability to adapt to change.
No two days are the same in this department - it’s a great opportunity to do a role with lots of variety with great exposure across many areas and departments of our office in Barnwood.
This is a fixed term contract until April 2019 to cover maturnity but could lead to an extended period, or other opportunities that open up within the Barnwood or Bristol offices at a simular grade level.
Some of the responsibilities of this role include:
Timely and accurate delivery of the 5-year balance sheet and income position for our mortgage portfolio. This will involve building and maintaining very strong relationships with our Product, Treasury and Risk partners.
Making sure all relevant parties understand this plan, all assumptions are well known and documented, and being able to articulate clearly the impacts of this plan.
Continued update / refreshing this plan via the monthly R&O process or ad-hoc scenarios as required.
Maintain awareness of external factors that may contribute to the banks plans, and communicate any impacts of this via regular Market and Competitor reporting.
We would love our Forecast Manager to have these skills and experience:
Ideally be a qualified accountant, with strong forecasting experience
Evidence of previous business partnering experience in a financial role
Brilliant at communicating and building strong relationships with internal stakeholders
Great organisation skills - able to plan workload and meet deadlines within minimal guidance
