Modern Apprentice Digital Marketing
Dundee City Council is working with Dundee College to offer a fantastic opportunity for a young person aged 16-19 to join our Community Learning and Development service as a Modern Apprentice. This one year Modern Apprenticeship is based at Mitchell Street Centre, Mitchell Street, working full time, 37 hours per week.
This role offers a wide range of opportunities to develop skills including creating graphics and short videos, training staff to use technology such as smart phones and tablets and assisting staff in using existing and emerging social media platforms.

The Modern Apprentice Scheme is focused to target high youth unemployment in the Dundee Area and the funding for training is only available for candidates aged 16 to 19. Please ensure, if you are applying for a Modern Apprentice post, that you are between the ages of 16 to 19. You will be asked to bring proof of age with you if you are invited for an interview.
You will have knowledge and/or experience of online information and communication tools such as social networking, video streaming, podcasts, etc, and of working with information systems, databases, websites including uploading and maintaining information.
An interest in digital technology and a willingness to learn, a good level of IT skills, excellent planning & organisational skills and excellent ability to work across teams are also essential.
You will also be available to work evenings and occasional weekends.
You will be enthusiastic and committed towards completing the full Modern Apprenticeship and will be supported to achieve the SVQ3 Diploma in Digital Marketing @ scqf level 6.
