Prism 7 Recruitment are recruiting for a Mobilisation Manager based in the West Midlands for our client who are a National Care company

As the Mobilisation Manager you will need to have and be.....

  • Exceptionally well organised individual with proven management and administration experience
  • Complex Care Management Experience
  • An ability to communicate effectively at all levels
  • Good organisational and time management/prioritisation skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and people management skills;
  • High energy level, self-starter and ability to handle conflicting and competing priorities;
  • Proficient in the use of all Microsoft applications

Staff supervision and rota management

  • Supervise and manage the mobilisation of new clients, including the mobilisation offering role development and support in the following way:
  • Conduct if required at least annually with all team members; carry out performance reviews, as and when required
  • Undertake 'return to work’ interviews with staff following periods of sickness
  • Process annual leave applications
  • Manage and communicate progression of mobilisation plans
  • Convene, chair and minute staff meetings
  • Working with the Clinical Nurse Managers, contribute to the identification of training needs for staff and ensure training reflects developments in care delivery and management
  • Monitor staffing levels within each mobilisation package ensuring deadlines are met, requesting recruitment intervention as necessary
  • Support the recruitment process through the promotion of 'recruit a friend’ and other local recruitment methods, being involved in interviewing/ induction processes
  • Ensure that all shifts are covered within each mobilisation, maintaining full responsibility for the safe coverage of care by appropriately skilled staff

Service delivery

  • Working with a Clinical Nurse Manager, undertake Risk Assessments and MPS assessments for clients and their homes
  • Assist the Clinical Nurse Manager with Hospital Discharge arrangements and the development of new packages of care as required. This includes liaison with CCG and Social Services
  • Personally, deliver and deliver by delegation, a high quality complex care service for the mobilisation of new packages in accordance with CQC and other professional bodies
  • Respond to clients, staff and families in a staffing crisis providing support, advice, expertise and guidance by telephone and when appropriate in person, for clients, families, Mobilisation Personal Care Assistants etc.
  • Working with the Clinical Nurse Specialist, ensure an elevated level of customer/client satisfaction though excellent and sensitive communication, empathy, ability to manage complex relationships, proactively managing expectations and creating solutions for clients; providing reassurance and instilling confidence in the service
  • Trouble-shoot service delivery problems
  • Ensure that clients, families and informal carers (i.e. friends and family) remain central to our services
  • Ensure the accurate and timely approval/reporting of all rota allocations, annual leave, sick leave, maternity leave, staff absence records and data in People Planner (or other rostering system) for the allocated care packages
  • Maintain an up to date knowledge of all Complete Care, and other company policies and procedures, national care standards, best practice in complex care and Health & Safety regulations
  • Play a role in the continuous development of the complex care service and the company
  • Uphold the Complete Care values in service delivery, recruitment, undertaking risk assessments, induction training and co-ordination of the day to day running of your allocated packages.

Training Management

  • Working closely with the Clinical Nurse Specialist and Clinical Assessor, ensure that the team are fully trained and competent to perform their role
  • Supporting Case Management
  • Keep up to date on all local, regional and national policy relating to care
  • Comply with local safeguarding policies and procedures
  • Attend all training within each Local Authority within the Region

Report Writing

  • As required by the Senior Operational Manager prepare reports for reviews of the service and packages
  • Other Managerial
  • Conduct monthly reviews of each allocated client
  • Management and reconciliation of Mobilisation PAs timesheets
  • Maintain budgetary responsibility for allocated client packages
  • Conduct investigations into non-clinical incidents as requested by the Senior Operational Manager
