Mobile Electrician

This is a unique & exciting opportunity to join a direct labour force at one of the most prestigious housing associations in the South of England as a Mobile Electrician in the Repairs department, based out of Redhill.

Duties include:

Carrying out inspections of occupied and empty properties to determine the extent of the repair, maintenance or installation required. Having diagnosed the fault carry out the most cost effective and expedient repair and on completion of the works complete all necessary electrical certification.

Carry out a range of electrical works in occupied and empty properties including all aspects from minor repairs to larger one-off projects, to current legislative standards and prevailing performance standards, and in accordance with the Trust's procedures.

Participate in the Emergency call-out cover outside normal working hours, on a rota basis as part of the call-out team.

The basic salary for the Mobile Electrician is £29k per annum plus any overtime & call-outs, on target earnings up to £35k per annum.

To apply for the Mobile Electrician role you should have some or all of the following qualifications:

  • C&G 2360 parts 1&2 and/or NVQ3
  • C&G 2382 17th Edition of the Wiring Regulations
  • Inspection & Testing (ideal but not essential)
  • CSCS or ECS card.
  • Qualified/competent in all aspects of electrical work from minor repairs to larger one-off projects.
  • Able to demonstrate skill necessary to undertake works to a good standard.
  • Full clean driving licence.
  • Be within a reasonable distance from Redhill
