An
exciting opportunity has arisen within the Department of General Surgery for a
suitably qualified and experienced nurse to join the Colorectal Cancer -  Clinical Nurse Specialist Team.
 

We are
looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic nurse who will be expected to
support the colorectal service whilst the current post holder is on maternity
leave.   

You will need to be able to
demonstrate an expert level of skill and specialist knowledge in the area of
colorectal surgery and experience in cancer care would be an advantage.
 
 

The team works closely with both Surgical and Oncology services supporting
patients throughout the colorectal cancer pathway. 

The post holder will
play a key role within the colorectal multidisciplinary team, coordinating
patient care alongside clinicians, supporting patients in both outpatient and
inpatient settings and have a broad knowledge of
the holistic needs of patients with colorectal cancer  Nurse led clinics are held on a weekly basis on a
patient by patient basis dependent upon the needs of the service. 
 

You will need to
demonstrate excellent interpersonal and leadership skills and be passionate
about delivering standards of care which contribute to the organisations
commitment to person-centred care that is caring and enabling, safe and
vigilant and accountable.

 This post
is an 11 month contract to cover maternity leave. 

We would consider flexible working and part
time hours.
