About the job...
Your new organisation is a training provider which helps provide organisations with guidance on training their current teams as well as taking on new apprentices. They are based on the outskirts of Plymouth in a location that is easy to commute to via public transport.
Placed within the MIS team, the focus of your department is around the data required for senior management to analyse and make decisions. This data may be referring to new apprentices and their application packs, information regarding their progress on their course or the data recorded and updated could be referring to funding for courses and the relevant audits that need to take place.
Your job as MIS and Funding Manager is to oversee this department and ensure the highest data integrity at all times. During such a period of change regarding apprenticeship levy's and the like, you will be there to ensure the smooth transition between existing and new funding rules and make sure that both systems run together concurrently. You will also be there as support for the team regarding general funding and audit guidelines and ILR requirements. Your management will result in key information being provided to the senior management team, enabling them to make decisions and support the quality improvement framework.
The ideal candidate....
This MIS and Funding Manager role would suit a candidate who has a lot of hands on experience with MIS, particularly in a MIS busy environment. You will have knowledge of the Apprenticeship sector, various forms of funding and experience with the skills funding agency processes. Your working background may have also given you exposure to financial assurance audits and similar processes. Excellent IT skills are absolutely essential in this position as you will be handling high volumes of data. You will also be naturally analytical, completely capable of interpreting the data in front of you for business use. With the role, you will have the opportunity to directly manage a team whilst also having your own opportunities to develop on the job with ample opportunities for upskilling and progression.
Salary - £35,000
30 days holiday rising to 33 days after 1 year
