Mid to Senior Interior Designer

Location: Cobham, Surrey

Salary: dependent on experience

Essential Experience, Skills and Qualifications:

  • Degree or equivalent in Interior Design
  • Interior Architecture experience is of benefit
  • Experience working on residential projects
  • Experience working on all stages of a project from concept through to completion
  • Strong concept skills
  • Experienced using Vectorworks, Sketch-Up, Photoshop and Indesign, Estimac
  • MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Strong Interpersonal and communication skills
  • Good project management and quality control
  • Knowledge of planning legislation an advantage

Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Creative Director to develop concepts and come up with effective solutions to the creative brief
  • Able to present and come up with design solutions for the client
  • Be able to do full drawing packages for projects
  • Set-up and complete FF&E ensuring delivery to site
  • Initiate and participate in client progress meetings and ensure that the meetings are recorded, actions noted and followed up after the meeting

Project management and implementation:

  • Attend site meetings and prepare project plans and progress reports
  • Day to day running of the design process and report back to the Creative Director
  • Deal effectively with all parties including sub-contractors and ensure issues are dealt with and/or raised as a concern
  • Able to source and procure all goods (furniture, fabrics, accessories)
  • Co-ordinate the deliveries on site
  • Ensure the completion of snagging and effectively co-ordinate the final dressing of a client’s property

Salary and benefits will be based on candidate experience.
