The Team

This role sits in the Microsoft Operations Team. This team makes up part of the Microsoft department alongside 10 corporate licensing specialists, 4 Azure specialists, 6 Public Sector Licensing Specialists, 2 Agreement Co-ordinators and a Programme Manager. The Microsoft Department reports into the Softcat Alliances Director.

The Operations team offers essential support to many areas and departments within Softcat including the Microsoft department and sales teams. The aim of the team is to support customers and account managers through the full life cycle of a Microsoft agreement. We are a hardworking and driven team who put customer service first. We continually aim to be the best Microsoft Operations team in the industry.

Responsibilities

  • Liaising with our Microsoft Partner Account Manager
  • Liaising directly with Microsoft Account Managers
  • Working with our counterparts at Microsoft
  • Liaising with Softcat Account Managers
  • Supporting and advising customers via calls, email, WebEx and meetings if required
  • Supporting and working with Licensing Administration
  • Working with the CSP team
  • Support on agreements throughout the full term including helping to get orders placed on time
  • Creating larger Microsoft agreement contracts
  • Advising on Microsoft Operations queries across multiple programs
  • Supporting customer with the use, navigation and any issues with Microsoft portals

The Ideal Candidate

Although Microsoft experience itself is not an essential pre-requisite for this role, the following attributes are key:

  • Willingness to learn across Operational procedures and programmatic guidelines as well as high level Licensing concepts
  • A strong attention to detail
  • Can-do attitude
  • Approachability and reliability
  • Ability to work under pressure

  • Comfortable with managing/prioritising own work
  • Good organisational skills
  • Enthusiasm to help and for high levels of customer service
  • At times, the role can be fast paced therefore the ability to work quickly and efficiently is key
