An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Microbiologist to join a global pharmaceutical company at their site in County Durham. Initially on contract up until the end of 2018, this role is open to candidates with some microbiology experience from either a pharmaceutical, food, or environmental background.
The successful candidate will be part of a multi skilled microbiology department responsible for microbial analysis of the process and materials associated with pharmaceutical manufacturing and project work. The department is involved in microbial analysis of raw materials, components, intermediates and final products as well as environmental monitoring of the site. You will be involved in managing maintenance, culture, speciation and enumeration of microorganisms, and will also support the regulatory area, QA audits and inspections (MHRA/FDA).
The team are working on multiple projects around new technologies, products and methods and require a person that is ideally experienced in multiple aspects of microbiology, validation and regulatory requirements.
