Our client is seeking a microbiology analyst to work as part of a multidisciplinary scientific team in a quality lead environment.
You will be expected to receive, isolate, identify and store bacterial pathogens in accordance with SOP’s. Perform QC and laboratory diagnostic tests to a high-quality standard, assist in any routine scientific investigations and laboratory development projects. Preparation of media and test reagents and general housekeeping duties.
The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level, preferably in Microbiology, have some laboratory experience, be able to work in a fast-moving environment, have excellent attention to detail and accuracy. You will need a clear understanding of quality and health and safety. Some Molecular methods such as PCR would be helpful.
