We have a fantastic opportunity for someone to work throughout Bangor and the surrounding areas in Gwynedd.

The role of a Meter Reader is to visit customers in their homes/businesses to collect information including reading their gas and electricity meters.

The attributes of a Meter Reader are:
- a friendly attitude
- the ability to plan work effectively
- self management skills and self-motivation
- good local knowledge
- computer literacy as you will be using a hand-held computer

This is a retained post for 3 hours per week with the expectation of 37 hours per week on a 6 weeks on, 7 weeks off basis. The rate of pay is £7.83 per hour. The 6 week working periods will start on each of these dates: 16th April, 16th July and 15th October. You will need to be available for the full 6-week period at each time.

Self-motivation and the need to succeed is imperative.

Experience of working outdoors would be beneficial as you will be required to work in all weathers.

Full training is provided so experience is not necessary. The successful Meter Reader must have a home telephone landline.

We are looking for people with a full UK National Insurance number and a 5-year checkable history. We need you to hold a full European driving licence with a maximum of 6 penalty points and have your own vehicle available for business usage reclaimable at the rate of 35 pence per mile.
