The role of Merchandise Planner is twofold:
1). To assist the Head of Sourcing and Head of Finance by providing detailed reporting, which results in business-critical decisions.
2). To maintain the integrity of data so product is systemically saleable.
Performing detailed analysis and reporting at yearly, seasonal, weekly level by category, line, size and attribute. Identifying sales patterns and potential trading opportunities.
Ad-hoc reporting to address imminent business issues.
Monitoring range plans and WISSIS's to ensure optimum stock levels are achieved and OTB is maximised at all times.
Maximising in-season trading opportunities to ensure optimum trading and profitability. Reacting to trading activity suggesting rebuys, markdowns and promotions where appropriate.
Working closely with other departments in the business, Sourcing, Finance, Marketing, Design, Quality Assurance. Maintaining a collaborative approach to work and ensuring that all ranges and promotions are in line with business strategy and aligned with brand values.
Working closely with the Warehouse teams and the Head of Sourcing to ensure that stock flows into the business in a timely manner and can be swiftly set live on the Website.
Working sporadically with outside agencies to sell terminal stock at a reduced wholesale cost.
Taking ownership of the Merchandising and Warehouse system 'PRIAM' becoming the company expert in this tool.
Liaising with the external teams at PRIAM, troubleshooting ad-hoc problems and working to improve efficiency of how we utilises PRIAM and ensuring that it is working in sync with the MAGENTO based company website.
Keeping the seasonal master range plans up to date, as it is a cross function document.
Creating and maintaining styles and raising purchase orders within PRIAM.
Managing product pricing and coding within PRIAM.
