Mental Health Support Worker

Location: Cumbria (CA22)

Rate: £14 per hour ( for the first 480 hrs / approx. 12 - 13 weeks / then £17 / hr )

Hours: 36-hour working week

Holidays: 22 days + bank holidays

Temp to Permanent Contract

Are you an experienced Mental Health Support Worker looking to make a meaningful difference in someone’s life? We are seeking dedicated female candidates to join a specialist 2:1 care package for a client with complex mental health needs.

About the Role:

You will be supporting a 44-year-old woman with a history of complex mental health diagnoses, including Dissociative Identity Disorder, Recurrent Depressive Disorder, ADHD, and a history of Anorexia Nervosa. Currently under Section 3 of the Mental Health Act, she is preparing for discharge from a Newcastle-based hospital to her home in Cumbria.

Your role will involve providing consistent, trauma-informed care, ensuring safety, emotional well-being, and stability as she transitions into her new environment.

What We’re Looking For:

? Previous experience supporting individuals with complex mental health conditions

? Compassionate, resilient, and professional approach

? Willingness to travel for pre-placement meet-and-greets

? Female candidates only (due to the client’s past trauma and care requirements)
