Mental Health Support Worker – Bank

Aldam House, Goole

£8.99 per hour (rising to £9.47 after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance)

We specialise in services for young people, homeless families and individuals, people with physical disabilities, learning disabilities and people with mental health needs

We are seeking a Mental Health Support Worker to make a real difference to the lives of our residents. Aldam House is a supported living accommodation offering care and support to individuals with a range of needs.  We welcome applicants who have experience working in CQC regulated services and can demonstrate experience working with clients who have mental health needs. If you want to make a positive impact to people’s lives, this is a rewarding opportunity to come and work within an established and experienced team.

The role of Mental Health Support Worker will include:

  • Working with clients who have mental health needs and substance misuse issues
  • Providing regular key working to ensure relevant support is provided
  • Producing comprehensive risk management plans and person-centred support plans
  • Liaising with external agencies on behalf of the clients
  • Managing housing voids and arrears

Skills and experiences:

  • Must have NVQ level 2 in Health and Social Care or above. Please do not apply unless you have this qualification.
  • Previous experience working with clients who have mental health needs and substance misuse issues is essential
  • Knowledge of housing management including voids and arrears management and an understanding of occupancy agreements
  • Prior experience writing risk management plans
  • Ability to work on your own initiative
  • Previous experience liaising with external agencies
