The Mental Health Services Clinical Policy, Guideline & Improvement Manager role will be to ensure that an effective and consistent clinical policy and guideline management system is in place across the NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde Board area for Mental Health, Learning Disability, Forensic and Addiction Services. You will ensure that the development of clinical policy and guidelines within the Greater Glasgow and Clyde Mental Health Services are consistent with National Policy, Directives and Guidance, evidenced based and linked with and adhere to Board wide protocols, guidance systems. You will contribute to and support clinical policy and guideline development across NHS Greater Glasgow & Clydes Mental Health, Learning Disabilities, Forensic and Addiction services as delegated and directed by Mental Health Services Quality and Care Governance Group (MHSQCG) which includes ensuring system maintenance for timely review of existing clinical policies and guidelines, whilst supporting, monitoring and assuring policy/guideline implementation and supporting and facilitating quality improvement/ development plans. You must have demonstrable clinical experience underpinning the requirement to make informed decisions and support governance decision making as well as applied negotiation skills, project management and the ability to work without direct supervision. It is essential you are either a Mental Health Nurse with current NMC registration and educated to minimum Degree level / or have equivalent professional registration. You should also have evidence of knowledge and application of improvement methods and project/change management. Evidence of knowledge and application of a using digital technology/ information/IT systems would be beneficial. The hours of this post are worked Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.00pm.
