Mental Health Practitioner

Posted 18 September by NHS Business Services Authority

Calderdale CAMHS is looking for a skilled, enthusiastic and innovative Mental Health Practitioner, who is passionate about providing a quality service for children and young people with mental health problems. Child and adolescent mental health services are constantly evolving, and there is a real commitment from all agencies in Calderdale to work in partnership and make a positive impact. You will have a great opportunity to drive change and make a difference, as part of a like-minded and vibrant core CAMHS team.

Our multi-disciplinary team consists of clinical psychologists, psychiatrists, nurses, social workers, CBT therapists, family systemic practitioners and assistant psychologists all providing a range of evidence based interventions for young people and their families.

As part of the core team you will be delivering those evidenced based interventions to the young people in the service who have significant mental health problems, while being supported by the Core CAMHS team, as well as the CAMHS crisis team and CAMHS ED team.

We work closely with a range of other partner agencies in the community in social care and education, and we have recently implemented the THRIVE model, providing multi-agency collaborative work at every level to provide the most comprehensive care possible.

We are committed to the professional development of our staff, improving your clinical skills within the field of child and adolescent mental health. There will be various training opportunities and you will receive regular supervision to support you in your new role. You will have a thorough induction to the service and wider trust, where the vision and mission is to provide outstanding physical, mental and social care in a modern mental health and care system helping people to reach their full potential and live well in their community.

This post is a 2 year fixed term post.

For any further information on the vacant post or service, please contact Jacob Agoro Associate quality and governance lead or Hannah Waleboer – Calderdale CAMHS Team Manager.
