Mental Health Crisis Practitioner - First Response, Crisis Resolution

Help us achieve our vision for mental health crisis provision in Hertfordshire!

Hertfordshire Partnership Foundation Trust are looking for talented mental health nurses, social workers and occupational therapists to work in our Crisis Service. It’s a genuinely exciting time to join – we’re developing new ways of working, which will see us delivering a 24/7 responsive adult crisis and acute home treatment service – but we need you to help us achieve our vision. The role will provide a genuine opportunity for you to develop your skills and make a difference.

You’ll have substantial clinical experience of working with service users who have presented with a mental health crisis. We’d like to see a real passion for mental health crisis services, and the difference they can make to service users and carers. It’s a challenging role, in a challenging environment, but we believe it will provide a talented and ambitious clinician with real scope to develop and influence practice.

We’re a strongly values-based organisation, so that you – and anyone that comes into contact with our services – will experience consistently welcoming, kind, positive, respectful and professional treatment.

We are an exceptional organisation with big ambitions. There has never been a more exciting time to join us following our CQC rating of Outstanding awarded to us in April 2019. We are on our “Good to Great” journey as we continue to innovate, improve, transform and ultimately deliver the very highest standards of care to the service users and communities that we serve.

You’ll have the opportunity to participate in our future leaders programme, undertake non-medical prescribing training, AMHP training and benefit from excellent promotion and development prospects, state of the art clinical environments and the opportunity to be part of a fantastic multidisciplinary team of staff who are genuinely committed to improving the lives of our service users and carers. We have an excellent range of staff benefits.

You’ll need to be a car driver (unless you have a disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010 which prevents you from driving).

In addition to the basic salary, this post attracts a High Cost Area Supplement of 5% of basic salary subject to a minimum payment of £1,034 and a maximum payment of £1,791 per annum (pro rata where applicable).
