NHS Kernow Clinical Commissioning Group (NHS Kernow) is focusing on the requirements of the entire population in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, the aim being to reduce the demand on over-stretched health care services. About the role
The Safeguarding Adults team is recruiting! Are you interested in developing your skills in The Mental Capacity Act? Due to investment into the team and pending changes to the Mental Capacity Act NHS Kernow CCG are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic MCA assessor. The role will support the team in completing the Community Deprivation of Liberty applications and to work in partnership with the Continuing Health Care team.
This is a brilliant development opportunity for a Band 6 wanting to take the next step in their career by moving into the field of Mental Capacity Act and Safeguarding Adults. You will work as part of the Safeguarding Adults team on the Mental Capacity and Liberty Protection Safeguarding agendas.
You will be supported within a friendly team who are committed to providing the best for patients and staff across an organisation which aims to deliver outstanding care for every patient.
This is a development role which requires an underlying passion for ensuring Human Rights for our community’s most vulnerable people. Whilst a awareness of the Mental Capacity Act would be of benefit there will be ongoing training and support from the team members.
You should identify and summarise skills and personal qualities that the ideal candidate should possess, as well as what you want them to achieve. A generic section is outlined below.
