The key purpose of this role is to:

Support the General Manager in the delivery of the Enriched Memory Care Model in the Memory Care Household

Reports to:

General Manager

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the delivery of Memory Care Pathway Foundation Level Training to staff in the Home
  • Support the Activities Organisers to ensure that the programming calendar meets individual residents' dementia care abilities, needs and interests and provision of the Live with Purpose Signature Programmes
  • Support of the Dining Hosts in the implementation of the Enriched Dining Model
  • Deliver, and support the care team to engage in, individual resident activities in Memory Care Households and in the use of the Life Skills Stations and Enrichment objects
  • Support the Home Manager in the implementation of the Memory Care Strategy in the Home
  • Coach the Memory Care Household team in the delivery of person-centred dementia care
  • Attend the Regional Memory Care and Programming Forums

Experience - Essential

  • Evidence of previous experience of a leadership role
  • Evidence of good written and verbal skills for communication and understanding
  • Understanding the physical, social, spiritual and emotional needs of the person with dementia
  • Experience at a Senior Carer level in a health and social care setting with people living with dementia
