MEETING AND EVENTS COORDINATOR

Our client is an AA 4 Star, 72 bedroom hotel in Guildford town Centre with 8 state of the art conference rooms with a suite up to 500 guests.

We are currently looking to recruit for a Meetings and Events Coordinator on an entry level basis.

You will need to be highly motivated to work in an environment where exceeding the expectations of the customer is the minimum standard.

As Conference & Events Coordinator, you will assist the Conference & Events Sales Manager in the day to day running of the sales office. You will oversee a team of 4, look after email, telephone, typing function sheets, arranging meetings and follow ups after a conference or event had taken place. Also assist with being the main point of contact on event days, manage weekend show arounds etc if required.

Key responsibilities: Conference & Special Events Coordinator

Dealing with guests over the telephone
Putting conference dates in the diary
Ensuring marketing promotions run at the right time
Updating and cleansing the database to make sure you're selling to the right people

HOURS
Working 45 hours per week, generally Monday to Friday but will include some occasional weekends.
