We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated and experienced secretary to join our busy Neurosciences Directorate based at the University Hospital of Wales.
The post holder will be based in the Helen Durham Centre and will look forward to a challenging and rewarding work environment, in which finding a balance between team working and utilising initiative is important. You will need to have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, strong typing skills, time-management skills and be able to multi-task and prioritise your workload. The ability to foster positive working relationships & being a strong team player is essential.
The post holder will hold an interest in Neurosciences, be motivated, and demonstrate a professional telephone manner to be able to liaise effectively with other teams and health boards and members of the public. The successful candidate will provide excellent administration and secretarial support, be an effective communicator, and have previous experience in a secretarial role, excellent IT skills and an eye for detail. The ability to work under pressure and deal sensitively with people who may be distressed at times is also required.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
