The primary purpose of the role is to provide a comprehensive secretarial service to a number of consultants; dealing with enquiries, correspondence and typing clinic letters/reports. To support the centre in all administrative functions as directed by the Centre Leader.
You would be responsible for acting as the main point of contact for consultants and other clinical staff, managing enquiries in a professional and efficient manner. When requested, scheduling patient appointments. Ensuring the timely typing of clinic dictations. Ensuring referral letters are received and assessed daily and that the patient referral letters are moved quickly through the registration system and appointments made for outpatient consultations. Coordinating and ensuring all diagnostic results are shared promptly with the consultant. Ensuring the consultant's diary is maintained, and agree a system for diary management with individual consultants. Facilitating medical staff leave through diary management and communicating with the relevant personnel responsible for processing leave requests.

* Able to demonstrate experience of working with Microsoft office and databases

* Experience of managing diaries and schedules
