A great opportunity has become available to join a medical charity on a one year fixed term contract, as a Medical Secretary in Chalfont St Peter. You will be the first point of contact for telephone enquiries and will be providing full secretarial and administrative support to Medical Consultants.
Providing full medical secretarial support to Consultants
Providing a professional reception service to patients and visitors, ensuring all visitors are greeted appropriately and their needs are responded to efficiently.
Ensuring all patients are booked into the appropriate system and directed to their point of care, responding to their individual needs as required.
Relevant administrative experience
Experience as an audio-typist requiring use and understanding of medical terminology
Excellent communication skills and ability to deal with difficult situations sensitively and appropriately
Proven ability of use of MS office and databases
Excellent typing skills
Good organisational skills with a proven ability to prioritise
Understanding of need for patient confidentiality, maintaining sensitive data and Data Protection Act
Experience within a busy clinical environment
