Medical Receptionist required for busy General Practice in Burnage. Reports to the reception team Manager.
Permanent position with salary starting at £7.50ph which will rise to £8.05 on successful completion of a 3-month probationary period. Full or part-time hours available but will likely include either an 8am start or a 6.30pm finish time.
This is a varied role which is extremely important in assisting the smooth running of the practice by providing administrative support to the clinical team and a supportive and friendly environment for our patients.
General duties include managing the reception desk, dealing with patient queries, liaising between patients and clinical staff, telephone call answering, faxing, scanning of documents, prescription checking and distribution, photocopying, processing of registrations and deductions and other administrative duties as required.
Key duties of the role:
Responding to queries over the phone and face to face from both staff and patients for which good communication skills, including conflict resolution, and a friendly manner are essential.
Miscellaneous admin duties and supporting the business team for which good organisation skills, attention to detail and a team oriented approach are a must.
Customer service experience and excellent keyboard skills required for all aspects of the role.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office packages would be desirable but training will be given.
