Take initiative in the development of processes and procedures in projects of various sizes, and take responsibility for management of business projects.
Responsible for the tracking & periodic reporting of projects to the relevant manufacturing & management teams.
Technical Authority on Electrical & Instrumentation design of site projects within defined boundaries.
Support other project managers with the delivery of site based projects – including design, installation and close out.
Develop, deliver & maintain standardised MOD procedure training modules.
Develop Electrical, Instrument and control designs from the Process Engineering Functional design concepts for relevant assigned projects.
Coordinate with NGUK functions and third party contractors to ensure development of Electrical, Instrument and control designs in line with project milestones.
Coordinate Mechanical, Electrical, Instrument, control and Civil design approval from the relevant NGUK discipline Engineer.
Ensure compliance to applicable Engineering standards and EU/UK legislation.
Liaise with Procurement to purchase appropriately specified equipment/materials.
Coordinate the development of work-packs for project installation.
Work with external contractors to ensure project installation is fully scoped and resourced.
Coordinate the installation of all projects in conjunction with the Senior Project Engineer, Project Manager and the installing contractors.
Good engineering practices in line with site rules – Primarily including MOD SR602 is advantageous.
Would be benificial to have experience of applying engineering solutions in line with COMAH & PPC legislative requirements.
Advantageous to be HNC/Degree qualified Electrical / Instrument Engineer with a minimum of 4 years relevant experience in the Petro/Chemical industry.
