Working as part of a team; this role undertakes the receipt/ storage and issue of POL Bulk products for HM Navy and other customers; always working within Competent Authority standards and regulations and with a strong focus on ensuring no harm to people or the environment.
The responsibilities include:
- Maintenance of fixed/mobile plant
- Assisting in the fuelling of vessels (included the manual handling of fuel hoses and operating manual valves)
- Maintenance of storage tanks and oil water separators
- Oil Spill response
- Operate a computerised maintenance system
- Site maintenance
- AP Duties (Control of Works/Permit to Work)
You will be qualified mechanical technicians, either through time served apprenticeships, NVQ or other recognised routes.
You will be able to show you are a motivated team player, be willing to be part of a rostered "on-call" team and to undertake short notice overtime. Hold a current full UK Driving Licence. You will be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of the foundations health and safety and have good safety conscious record, along with high standards of honesty and confidentiality.
