Mechanical/Piping Planner

Our client a Global leader in the Chemical/Oil & Gas industry is currently recruiting for a Mechanical/Piping Planner on a 12 Month contract basis in Mossmorran, Fife. Kelly Services UK Ltd act as one of the primary supplies of contractor workforce to all UK Location.

As a Mechanical/Piping Planner you will be working in a planning and scheduling maintenance support team where the  primary function will be to create detailed plans, cost estimates and job packs for all site Mechanical and Piping planned and breakdown maintenance tasks. You the Planner will accurately identify material needs and ensure availability for scheduled work from small repairs to larger equipment outages, liaising with other planners and departments where required. Plans will be created for annual tasks, planned  and breakdown maintenance using a corporate "Norms' based planning system. Training will be provided to ensure that you become competent in the necessary safety, maintenance and controls procedures and systems.


- Trade/field experience in mechanical/piping fabrication and installation
- Field scoping and estimating experience
- Basic knowledge of oil/gas plant, equipment and operations
- Basic computer skills
- Knowledge of planning processes

Skills & Competencies:

- Proven on-the-job capability/skills/leadership
- College diploma or equivalent qualification
- Relevant prior oil and gas or large corporation industry experience
- Problem solving abilities
- Credibility to set high standards and promote continuous improvement
- Structured, organised and methodical. Detail orientated.
- Ability to understand and react with diverse groups and operations
- Planning aptitude - the ability to optimise work and break down into logical, detailed steps.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
