Mechanically Biased Maintenance Engineer

The successful applicant will form part of the Day Shift Engineering Team, working Monday - Friday, 0700-1630. The team is responsible for maintenance, repairs and development of the automated concrete processing factory, including material handling, batching and packaging equipment. This role will involve working on various different types of equipment including hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical/electronic control systems.
Applicants should have previous experience of working as part of an engineering team with excellent knowledge of good maintenance practices, fault finding techniques and the ability to react and interact in a production environment. A strong focus on planned preventative maintenance & scheduled engineering tasks would be the key focus points for this position.
Ideally you will be a time served Mechanical Engineer to ONC, NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or suitable equivalent qualification.
A good knowledge and understanding of basic electrical fault finding would also be advantageous.
The ideal applicant will be a team player with excellent communication skills, possessing a sound working knowledge of basic Microsoft packages.
