Job Title: Mechanical Engineer
An opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical Engineer to join our client's engineering department. The key purpose of the role is to install, maintain, repair, and modify manufacturing machinery and associated mechanical equipment.

What you need to know:
To become a Mechanical Engineer you should have a thorough understanding and experience of:
- Servicing of manufacturing machinery, mechanical lifting and handling equipment and ancillaries;
- Repairs of manufacturing equipment and mechanical lifting and handling equipment, including drive systems, brake systems, pressure systems and mechanical control systems;
- Operation of lathes, milling machines, drills, presses and other workshop machinery
- Technical drawings
The successful Mechanical Engineer will have completed a time served apprenticeship or equivalent in a mechanical engineering discipline, along with at least six months' experience of working in an industrial environment. Candidates need to be able to demonstrate good problem solving and fault finding skills, along with the ability to work as an individual and part of a team whilst complying with Health and Safety requirements.
