Mechanical Engineer with around 4yrs+ commercial experience to join growing business. The Mechanical Design Engineer must have a 2.i degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or other Engineering (Structural, Civil, Avionics, Aerospace, Motor etc.).

As a growing global business (grew by 100% last year) this is a fantastic opportunity for a capable, ambitious and bright Mechanical Engineer with skills in most of the following:-

  • FEA (e.g. Cosmos, ANSYS)
  • Solidworks
  • 2D, 3D CAD design

Expect to be challenged! Opportunity to progress to management position within the group if desired. Work among some of the brightest Mechanical Engineers in the business! No day the same. As a competent Mechanical Design Engineer you'll be working on some very exciting and new technological products. In some instances this is the first time the product has been used by clients, testament to the quality required!

The Mechanical Engineer will be involved in full life-cycle of product design, build, test and dispatch. Also being responsible for engineering and improving core industrial subsea equipment for clients around the world. You role will be specifically covering:

  • Design of core mechanical component products (using Solidworks)
  • Test of equipment and products
  • Technical mechanical assessment
  • Problem solving and identifying improvements
  • Stress Analysis (FEA)
  • Fault finding
  • Implementing new product/component improvements
  • Documentation & report writing
  • Work closely with shop floor, sales, new product development and senior management
