Mechanical Engineer / Production Engineer

I am recruiting for a Mechanical Engineer / Production Engineer to work for a production company based in Wellingborough.
As a Mechanical Engineer maintenance fitter, you would install, service, repair and maintain production machinery and equipment, of which a considerable amount is bespoke to the company. You could work on mechanical, electrical, pneumatics systems and PUR hotmelt machines in support of the manufacturing operations.
Maintain the company's assets to the highest standards and improve reliability and up time.
Respond immediately to production machinery breakdowns, fault finding and fixing faults.
Improve asset reliability by implementing regular maintenance programs including "Preventative Maintenance" and "Total Predictive Maintenance" schemes.
Ensure that all production assets meet the current Health & Safety legislation.
Maintain "Vital to Production" spares inventory at agreed costs.
Work closely with the Engineering Department on all future asset based projects.
Investigate ways to reduce overall maintenance costs within the organisation.
Experience of working with PUR hotmelt machines would be a distinct advantage
Mechanical aptitude to be able to carry out mechanical repairs on equipment breakdowns.
Must have logical approach to fault finding and a methodical approach to their work
Able to carry out general fitting
Be able to undertake either on site or off site training as required
Ideally with knowledge of injection moulding equipment, including robots
Basic machining skills would be an advantage.
Be flexible with shift patterns and work to business needs - May involve weekends
Knowledge of the following, Packaging Systems, Hot Melt Glue Systems
Conveyer Systems and Waterjet Cutting Systems, would be considered an advantage.
Knowledge of PLC controlled machinery would be an advantage
