Our client is a specialist designer and manufacturer of high quality security and privacy gates for domestic property. Beautifully crafted from metal or wood, the products are high end, tailor-made and ideal for privacy and security.
As the company grows, they are now looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join their team working across Southern England, primarily within the Home Counties, Hampshire and Sussex, but on occasion slightly further afield.
- Salary of £25,000 - £35,000

As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be tasked with working on-site at customers’ properties to install our client’s gating products.
The products are automated gates which will require complete installation including foundation digging, electrical wiring and the associated security equipment.
Working as part of a team of two or alone as the project requires, you’ll be acting as the face of the company and will provide an excellent level of service at all times and will complete jobs to perfect standards.
Specifically, your role will involve:
- Fitting gates and posts
- Digging holes
- Running first fix cabling wire
- Commissioning electrical control boards and systems
As part of your role, you will be required to travel up to 100 miles on a regular basis. As such, flexibility surrounding working hours will be vital.
To be considered as a Mechanical Engineer, you will need:
- Experience in mechanical and electrical engineering or a formal qualification in this area
- A full driving licence
Ideally candidates will have experience in security installations or fencing as well as welding skills, however these are not essential as full, comprehensive training will be provided.
