We are responsible for delivering a vital water resource to over 6 million customers across the Anglian Water network and you too could be a part of a 4,500 strong workforce in this exciting and challenging industry. You earn while you learn on our 3-4 year Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Apprenticeship scheme. The majority of your first year will be spent at a fully expensed residential college where you will meet like minded people and build your knowledge. For the remaining years, you will spend 1 week in 4 at college to reinforce your on the job learning.
It takes hard work and commitment throughout your apprenticeship but you will gain a nationally recognised qualification, valuable practical skills, and guidance and support from an experienced team.
As a fully qualified and multi skilled mechanical and electrical Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the equipment at our Water Recycling sewage sites remain operational through maintaining and repairing the assets. You will also be responsible for diagnosing and investigating complex faults, responding to incidents and reporting on failing assets.
Please note that after completing your first year residential college placement, you will be based across Colchester. You will be required to complete standby as part of your working week.

* 5 GCSEs at grade A*- C or 9 - 4 (or equivalent) including English and Maths.
* Enthusiastic and keen to learn.
* A passion for hands on work.
* Natural people skills to work in a team.
* Understanding of and compliance to Health and Safety.
Interviews will be held during February 2018.
