Our client is a leader in their industry with worldwide recognition, producing creative packaging solution. They are seeking a Mechanical Development Engineer to join their large team of technicians and engineers. You will manage various projects and develop new technology as well as designing and testing tooling using 3D CAD packages.
The successful Mechanical Development Engineer will need the following skills and experience:
- Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship to City and Guilds or NVQ Level 3, educated to HNC equivalent. You will have a minimum of 2 years' experience in working in a prototype manufacturing and development environment and a minimum of one years' experience inspecting components.
- Hands on practical/mechanical skills working to fine tolerances
It would also be desirable if you have had experience in a packaging/can making industry.
As a Mechanical Development Engineer you will receive a salary within the region of £30,000 - £35,000 depending on experience.
