£35,000 - £40,000 & excellent benefits

This thriving South Wales business is looking to further strengthen their existing design function, following the acquisition of a number of lucrative new contracts. The company has an enviable reputation for design excellence and is the supplier of choice for customer applications across the globe.

Role & Responsibilities:

oLiaise with manufacturers, component suppliers and other departments to ensure that costs are minimized.
oWorking on a project basis you will be responsible for the design of mechanical based products, comprising of electro-mechanical assemblies and plastic injection moulded components.
oCreate design manufacturing solutions from scratch.
oTurn ideas into practical design solutions and take the design from concept to completion.
oDeliver all aspects of projects to agreed delivery timescales and cost.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

oExperience in the design of mechanical and / or plastic components.
oAt least 4-5 years Mechanical design experience, preferrably using Solidworks.
