Building on the success of our clients recent product launches, supported by an impressive 136 patents, we have an exciting role for a MECHANICAL DESIGN ENGINEER.

We are looking for creative Mechanical, Software and Hardware problem solvers of all levels to join the business and help make these ideas happen.

Overview

The Mechanical Design Engineers are driven to deliver premium solutions to demanding problems under challenging timescales.

They use their resourcefulness to challenge and push for improvements and have a natural curiosity for trialling things.

They utilise their engineering knowledge to mitigate risk through the use of practical hand calculation, 3D mechanism designs, statistical modelling and knowledge of kinematic systems, tribology, stress and fatigue.

What are we looking for?

You can demonstrate contribution to delivering great design solutions, meeting cost, time and quality targets. You can show us adaptability in picking up CAD tools and can show advanced levels of skill in a leading package.

You can demonstrate how you’ve tested and verified your designs against a brief.

You’ll have strong academic qualifications in STEM subjects and demonstrate how you approach problems logically and creatively. We’ll expect you to be a great communicator, confident to ensure your opinion is heard and delivered in a way that is listened to.

We would love you to have experience in:

  • PTC Windchill PLM and Creo CAD tools.
  • FEA tools specifically Creo simulate.
  • Detailed mechanism design of moving assemblies.
  • Structural analysis of parts and assemblies
  • Use of statistical models for collating and understanding data
  • DFMEA or mitigation of risk at a component or system level.
