£30000 - £35000 (depending on experience) + Benefits

An opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical design engineer to join an engineering organisation working on a bespoke and diverse product range. This is an exciting opportunity for a mechanical design engineer to progress their career. Their products are manufactured into large process machinery.

Location: Cheshire

Mechanical Design Engineering Position:

The responsibilities of the job include:

- Designing and developing new products and concepts such as new machinery

- Sustaining existing products

- Take projects from concept through to customer delivery

- Work with various departments to provide technical support

- Work alongside customers and suppliers

Requirements for the Mechanical Design Engineer Position:

- Experience with Solidworks (they will look at other CAD systems)

- Full life cycle design experience

- Experience as many of the following as possible:

  • Precision design
  • Motor/gearbox design
  • Pneumatics
  • Hydraulics
  • Integration of sensors/measurement equipment

- Design for manufacture

- Ideally experience with machinery design

- Degree Educated in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent (they will accept an HNC / HND if you have relevant industry experience)
