Integrated Medical Specialties (IMS) Care Group Vacancies

Post 1: Matron Division 2 Care of Elderly & Stroke - The post holder will be the professional nursing lead for these services across County Durham and Darlington, the predominant base for this post is Bishop Auckland Hospital with outreach to services at University Hospital of North Durham and Darlington Memorial Hospital. The post holder will be required to work in collaboration with all of the care group matrons and divisional managers.

Post 2: Matron Division 3 Gastroenterology, Diabetes Haematology/Oncology - The post holder’s nominal base will be Darlington Memorial Hospital and will be the professional nursing lead for these services. There is an expectation that support is provided to chemotherapy services and Medical Day Unit based at BAH. The post holder will be required to work in collaboration with all of the care group matrons and divisional managers.

Post 3: Matron Division 4 Cardiology, Respiratory - The post holder’s nominal base will be Darlington Memorial Hospital and will be the professional nursing lead for these services. The post holder will be required to work in collaboration with all of the care group matrons and divisional managers.

Surgery Care Group Vacancies

Post 1: Matron for Plastic Surgery and Dermatology services . The post holder will be the professional nursing lead for these services across County Durham and Darlington, the predominant base for this post is UHND but there is an expectation that support is provided to BAH and DMH. The post holder will work in collaboration with the General Surgery and Orthopaedic Matron’s to provide peer support for the inpatient areas.

Post 2 :Matron for Ophthalmology and Endoscopy services . The post holder will be the professional nursing lead for the development of these services across County Durham and Darlington, the predominant base for this post is Bishop Auckland Hospital however there is an expectation that support is provided to all 3 sites as required .The post Holder will be expected to work collaboratively with all care group matrons matron and divisional managers.

Post 3 :Matron for Orthopaedics and Day surgery Units . The post holder will be the professional nursing lead for the development of these services across County Durham and Darlington, the predominant base for this post is Bishop Auckland Hospital, however, there is an expectation that support is provided to UHND and DMH. The post holder will be required to work in collaboration with all of the care group matrons and divisional managers.
