It could be that you have either a degree in Maths itself or Physics or even Chemical Engineering and would like a post supporting pupils. As a Teaching Assistant you will be able to reach the minds of your pupils as you inspire a love for learning in them through an energetic approach to teaching. As a Teaching Assistant you must have the drive and enthusiasm to become a confident practitioner learning how to approach different pupils of different abilities effectively. Above all the school want you to possess the skills to inspire your students in Maths and share your own love of education, learning and self-improvement.

As a Maths Teaching Assistant at this school you will be supporting Maths in a general capacity, across the key stages. The Teaching Assistant will be responsible for the academic and social progress of the SEN pupils under your charge, working with them in small groups or individually to target their areas for development. You will be gaining vital classroom skills by running small intervention groups and 1:1 sessions for pupils who might be benefit from further class support.
