Tradewind Recruitment is currently looking for an enthusiastic and innovative Teacher of Maths, to join a smaller than average secondary school, to start in April 2018. This is a full time, long term role, with the potential of a permanent contract, paying up to £150 a day.
We are recruiting on behalf of a small and well established community school, which caters for students from 11 -16 years old. The school has recently partnered with a second school in the area, after being graded 'Good' with 'Outstanding' leadership; this was achieved through the SLT being extremely supportive of all staff members. They pride themselves on an induction programme leading to excellent professional development opportunities and are fully committed to the progress of their staff, as well as their students.
This OFSTED 'Good' secondary academy are looking for a Maths Teacher who can deliver lessons across all Key Stages and has excellent subject knowledge, as well as a great personality for building rapport with staff and students alike. You must be a committed practitioner, who will want to attain the highest standards in teaching and learning throughout the role. You will need to be a collaborative and driven individual who will support and lead on the delivery of the subject through inventive approaches including curriculum design and the use of ICT.
The role itself will involve the delivery of Maths lessons to students in KS3 and KS4, where the department has enjoyed improving GCSE results year on year. Ideal candidates will have strong curriculum knowledge and will ensure that the lessons they deliver are of excellent quality using innovative and engaging approaches, ensuring that the students are having fun whilst making progress!
The school is based in rural Tameside, with excellent public transport links and ample parking available.
