About the role of Maths teacher
The school make a conscious effort to engage and motivate every child to achieve their potential throughout KS3-4. A dynamic Maths teacher with a commitment to high standards, you will be given first rate support by the faculty and leadership team, in return they expect sound subject knowledge and an assurance in the classroom. Previous experience in a faith school is desirable but not essential for Maths teachers, providing you respect the Catholic ethos.
Situated in south Manchester, serving a multi cultural area of the city and bordering Trafford to the west and Stockport to the East, this is an average sized 11-16 secondary school. Under the current Head teacher, the school is showing rapid improvement and the journey to become a good or outstanding secondary school during the next Ofsted is well on track. The incoming Maths teacher will be invited to attend the schools journey to outstanding teaching programme which is a collaborative CPD programme with the partner school, an outstanding national teaching school in Macclesfield, Cheshire.
